The name Shine comes from our core value of shining bright and helping others to shine. “8” was chosen for its connection to the symbol for infinity, for its Chinese meaning of wealth and for our philosophy of small group training, with 8 trainees being the optimal number for maximizing individual development.

Our philosophy is also based in the field of Humanistic Neuro Linguistic Psychology™. Back in 1999 our founder, Andy Clark had the remarkable opportunity to be trained in the field by of HNLPTM by the originators, John Overdurf and Julie Silverthorn. They had taken their training in the field of NLP and created a more human-centered paradigm that believes “Whatever we think we are, we are always more than that!”

When developing programs, we look for maximum real-world effectiveness. By continuously asking the question “What exactly is it that we need our trainees to do and to know for them to excel in their work?” and “How do we deliver this training to make an impact in their lives tomorrow?” our training is centered around the requirement to bring each trainee results.

Our passion for both life and training is evident throughout all our programs. Combining humor, real-life stories, and a remarkable energy level, trainees are kept both learning and entertained throughout.
